Damn Cebu. Much wow. We’re still at a high and I don’t think that we can ever get over what happened last weekend, it hasn’t fully synced in yet but the whole experience definitely adds more fuel to get us going and do what we do. There are a lot of reasons why we never stop being thankful, and this event just adds to the list.
It’s always rewarding to see your projects and goals being achieved, but this partnership and collaboration with The Good Neighborhood in Cebu was extra special and it’s super awesome to see things kick-off this good. We feel very refreshed and grateful to be welcomed warmly in a place where community and the streetwear scene as a whole are given a great attention.
This partnership was conceptualized way back the early start of 2018. We were thinking off having our own pop-up store hopefully overseas but we knew we needed to start locally. We were fortunate to be in touch with guys like brothers Nikko, Willow, and June for they took the time and effort to plan and organize this release with us.
Design elements were developed to communicate the identities of both brands and more importantly, it is constructed to promote the true essence of togetherness and community because that’s what DBTK and TGN is all about and that’s the theme that we wanted to highlight with the release.

The event was from 3-8pm and as the people were starting to come through, you could already smell the fragrance of the patties and fries from NEW FOUND BURGERS and you’ll be teased not to give the tasty treats from BRGY. Donuts a try – and you’ll be hooked the moment you give it a bite. Count in some music from MilkyDre plus some refreshments being served and there’s nothing more you can ask for.
We were happy to see everyone having a great time and exchanging some ideas and information with each other. Cebu is the home to many great brands and brilliant creatives after all and the minds behind these tags were with us in the celebration of the release so the block was basically filled with awesome people.
Massive shout-outs to the brand owners and everyone who came and joined us for this release – this again is something that we did for the first time and we’re happy to know that you guys are with us in our journey. This event certainly won’t be as fun and successful as it is if not because of the presence of everyone and as we move forward, we aim nothing else but to reach out and take things up a notch.
If you guys go to Cebu, you already know where to go to score some quality goods. You can find The Good Neighborhood at 91-C. Esmero St. Capitol Site Cebu City or give them a follow at @thegoodneighborhood to know the latest updates.
