ESSENTIALS FOR EVERY SHOW AND GIG YOU’RE GOING TO

by Lionel Emil Javier |

We know how fun and exciting it is to attend a concert, gig, or tour but it’s much better and easier to have fun once you have everything ready ahead of time. Enjoy and get the best experience possible, here’s a list of things to prepare and consider for the next show you’re going to attend.

Buy your Tickets ahead of Time

Take note of the date of the availability of the tickets – you can usually purchase tickets at a cheaper price during the pre-selling period. Wait a little longer and the ticket price might inflate so it’s best to buy them ahead of time to save extra cash. We also suggest that you guys avoid buying from scalpers, and stick to the official or certified ticket sellers. There’s the risk of buying fake tickets from other sources so ensure its authenticity before anything else.

Prepare your Gadgets and Recording Devices

Make sure to have your gadgets and devices charged and ready for the show. Allot enough memory space so you can snap every picture and take a video of every epic moment and performance of the artist playing. It’s better to have portable chargers ready so you guys have enough power and battery throughout the show.

Study the Theme + Setting and Check the Weather Forecast

Aside from knowing that do’s and don’ts, be aware of the venue and location where the show will take place. It’s best to conduct a quick research to know how you can get in faster and easier. Check the set-up and floor plan so you can secure where you would want to position yourself. Also, be updated with the latest weather forecast so you know what else to bring and prepare just in case.

Pick the Right Outfit

After knowing the weather forecast and having information of the show’s venue, you should now plan what to wear for the show. It’ll be uncomfortable to wear heavy outerwear in an open area where the heat of the sun is present, and at the same time; it’ll be difficult not having a raincoat or jacket if the weather is cold is rainy.

Only Bring the Essentials

We all have our own preferences and essential items but it’ll be impractical to bring the things you wouldn’t really use or need for the show. Not only is it added weight, but there’s also the risk of having it lost or misplaced. The best thing to do is pack light so you wouldn’t have to go through the hassle of having to worry about the other stuff you brought along.

Get Your Energy Up

If you’ve already been in a concert or show before, we’re sure that you know that it can get pretty tiring so better have your energy up by having a good full meal before you rock it out. You can also have your coffee or energy drinks ready so you wouldn’t get sleepy and maintain your liveliness during the entirety of the show.

What better way to make the most out of the experience that to be able to witness everything happening right? To achieve this goal, we should be early at the venue. Arriving early sure has its perks, a good spot, maybe a chance to score some special freebies and giveaways, and if we’re fortunate enough, maybe even a chance to actually meet the performers.

Enjoy and Have Fun!

Obviously, our aim is to create notable memories and be entertained. It’s nice to plan ahead but also, let’s not forget to have fun and enjoy the spontaneity of how things will flow. Take home the exclusive merch if they will be selling some, have it signed if possible, go crazy and all out. This isn’t an everyday thing after all so immortalize the moment and soak it all in.

Listen to the Songs of the Artists

Even if you guys are avid fans of the artists that will perform, it’s good to give their songs a listen and have a quick rundown of the song lyrics so you can easily jam with them and be one with a crowd. We’re sure that you wouldn’t want to be that guy who’s blurting out the wrong rhymes and words – it ain’t nice to be placed in an awkward position so it’s better to be prepared.
