Holidays are fast approaching and we only have a couple of weeks before 2020. Now, for self-assessment, the questions that you need to answer are the following:
- Are you having a great year so far?
- Were you able to accomplish your New Year’s Resolution for 2019? and
- Have you ever reached some of your goals this year?
If the answer to all questions is yes, then there is nothing more to do but to keep it up and may you carry it over this coming year. However, if the answer is no and you think you fell short this year, fret not because there are still a couple of weeks left to finish strong this year.
Always keep in mind that it is never too late to start again. Just find your rhythm and continue the grind. Continue to pursue your goals and most of all, continue to make mistakes because every year would not be fruitful if there are no hardships. Learning from these mistakes will help you grow as a person.
If you are a student, give yourself a pat on the back for making it this far. To those who fell short in their academics, always remember to bounce back because it will never be too late to finish what you have started. Just keep in mind to always finish things on time and never ever procrastinate. Give yourself that extra push because semestral break is gonna be here soon and you will have ample time to recover from all those all nighters because of requirements and thesis.
If you happened to face challenges and for sure we all do, remember to take things lightly. Do not succumb to the effects of negativity and always see the positive in every situation no matter how hard it takes. Throw away your baggage and deload so you can move forward with ease. When it comes to work and responsibilities, there should be a balance between “taking things lightly” and “taking things seriously” because if you do the former all throughout, you are going to wish that you did not procrastinate and get things done already. While doing the latter all throughout, it might get you burned-out and find yourself unable to function because of this.
"...leading with certainty into an uncertain future doesn't require sight. It requires vision. It requires holding on. And no matter what happens, never letting go." - Cyclops
Nonetheless, never let go of your dreams and hold on to it. Create your momentum this year by creating a vision, a long-term plan that could keep you going and that could also help track your progress. That’s it for now, Kids!
