Who would have thought that with just a blink of an eye, we already reached the end of the year and are ready to jump into a new year.

Looking back on our journey this year, we all had a fair share of troubles, pains and had a taste of what rock bottom feels like. But, the fact that we are all here witnessing the coming new year means that we endured and keep enduring all these trials and keep moving forward.

Reaching this far means that there is no such thing as a bottomless pit. We can charge to experience all the hardships, and little by little, we get back on our feet to continue living.

Let us not forget though all the good things that happened to us this year. Let us celebrate our small victories, nurture the new and the old friends that stayed and supported us, and be thankful to all the blessings that we received.

Let us also commend ourselves for our growth (no matter how big or small this growth may be), for our newfound strengths, for overcoming our weaknesses and for being the best version of ourselves compared to yesterday.

Now, let’s depart from the past and focus on the “now” and “what’s yet to come”. Let’s continue to hold on to that brim of hope that everything will be better at some point in time.

No matter what the odds are in the coming year, just remember to keep fighting and always protect your dream and make it happen. Remember to protect the people that bring you joy and happiness. Remember to extend a hand to those who fall short. Remember to respect all the living things in the world. And, remember that there is always a way to fix a problem no matter how hard it may be.

Just know that whatever the weather, things will be alright. We will be alright.
